Smooth away the signs of aging: Facial fillers, bid farewell to forehead lines and crow's feet.

Published 2025.11.28

As we age and facial expressions accumulate, forehead wrinkles (horizontal lines on the forehead) and crow's feet (radiating wrinkles around the eyes) become a focus of attention for many. These dynamic or static wrinkles not only affect appearance but also often make individuals look tired or serious. In the field of aesthetic medicine, injectable fillers are currently one of the most popular, minimally invasive, and effective solutions.

✅ Core Principle: Choosing Injectable Fillers
The basic principle of wrinkle reduction with fillers is to increase volume and support sunken wrinkles by injecting safe, absorbable biomaterials into the dermis or subcutaneous tissue, while replenishing moisture and elasticity to achieve an immediate smoothing effect on the skin.

Commonly used filler materials include:

• Hyaluronic Acid (HA)
Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring substance in the human body with strong water-absorbing properties. In aesthetic medicine, hyaluronic acid is injected in gel form, immediately filling the sunken areas beneath wrinkles. It provides good support for deep, static wrinkles that have already formed. Generally not used directly for dynamic crow's feet (Botox is the preferred choice for dynamic wrinkles), but can be used to improve fine depressions and inelastic areas around the eyes. The effects are immediately visible, with a short recovery period and are reversible (degraded by injectable dissolving enzymes).

• Collagen
Directly replenishes lost collagen in the skin, providing immediate filling while inducing the body's own collagen regeneration, improving skin elasticity. Especially suitable for thin skin around the eyes, effectively improving fine lines under the eyes and at the corners of the eyes. Suitable for shallower static wrinkles, particularly around the eyes, with good biocompatibility and can improve skin tone to some extent.

✅ Targeted Treatment Strategy: Combination Therapy is More Effective
It is important to note that forehead wrinkles and crow's feet often result from dynamic wrinkles (appearing when making facial expressions) developing into static wrinkles (present even when not making facial expressions). Therefore, simple fillers are not always the best choice.

Many doctors recommend combination therapy for optimal results:

• Botox
Botox paralyzes the muscles that cause wrinkles, thus eliminating dynamic wrinkles such as crow's feet when smiling or forehead wrinkles when raising an eyebrow. Botox is usually injected first to relax the muscles.

• Fillers (Hyaluronic Acid/Collagen)
After muscle relaxation, if wrinkles still have noticeable depressions (i.e., they have developed into static wrinkles
